Report of Project RECH day 3

SCHOOL OUTREACH AND MARKET SENSITIZATION.

There was a great joy in the atmosphere of St Peters African Elementary School, Oyan after the marvelous and groundbreaking seminar we had with them, questions were addressed and well answered using real-life cases as reference.

They were all educated on how our society has been filled with societal vices and how to be conscious of all the vices,
We made them aware of how preventive they can be and also not to fall into the pit of culprits.

The seminar was followed by an interactive session in which we met with the pubertal girls and they were lectured on how to react to the signs that follow puberty, pupils were lectured on the common strategy used by most rapist to lure them in. They were all given sanitary pads as  symbolization and necessities to be taken care of at puberty stage.

We proceeded to the Oyan market where we were able to command audience and sensitize market women, passers-by,  children, youths and adults on the hazard behind being silent on rape cases and we provided a remedy by making them aware of their rights and steps to take in bringing justice to any criminal case especially on rape.
