VARSH (Voices Against Rape & Saxual Harassment)

VISION:

VARSH is a Non-Governmental, Non-Profit Organization created to reach out to victims of rape and other kinds of sexual abuse; with an initiative to help them heal and bring their offenders to book using the instrumentality of the Law. This is a service to humanity, an awareness that should be .

MISSION:

VARSH will organize campaigns, rallies and sensitization programmes to create awareness and educate individuals; VARSH will, through a mix of content, events, grassroots organizing, promote an initiative against Sexual Abuse.

GOALS & OBJECTIVES:

• Rally Campaigns, Conferences, Awareness Programmes designed for sensitization.

• Educate Teenagers in Secondary Schools, about Sex & Sexual Abuse in all its forms (rape, molestation, harassment)

• Create a Website which will serve as a Forum to connect with people all over the world who either want to share their stories, report a case of abuse, connect with a counsellor, and interact with fellows around our vision.

• Engaging Law Enforcement Agencies, Security Personnel and Legal Practitioners in the prosecution of and fight against Sex Criminal Offenders.

• Online Rally and Campaign using different Social Media Platforms [YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, etc]

• Help, sympathize with, and educate victims on how to handle and move on from their experiences

• Free Health Support, Counselling Sessions with Professional Health Care Providers for victims.

• Connect with people who buy into our vision & would support with resources and Man power that we need

TEAM GOALS:

• Selflessness
• Transparency and Openness
• Socialize
• Ability to blend formality and good sense of humor as we work together.

I'll like to end with this thought: This is not just about solving a problem, building a movement, or making money. It's about having a positive impact on the world, making the most of the gifts you've been given, and realizing your full potential as a human being.

"We're here to solve a mystery" and that mystery is, "why am I here?" Our goal is to help people end the pain of rape and sexual harassment. As Barack Obama once said, "do not see the world as it is, see the world as it should be".

Now I'm asking you: why are you here?
